Introducing FDA Approved Emsella Therapy

EmSella Chair for: Pelvic Floor Therapy for Men and Women who may experience Stress or Urge Incontinence, Erectile Dysfunction (ED) & Premature Ejaculation

Aging, trauma, or injury can all cause the pelvic floor muscles to weaken, which can cause problems with urine control, erections, ejaculation, and bowel function. Kegel exercises can be used to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, as well as the muscles around the penis. EmSella Chair is a unique, non-invasive technology that uses electromagnetic technology called HIFEM® (High Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology) to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles by delivering the equivalent of approximately 12,000 Kegel exercises to the pelvic floor muscles in as little as 30 minutes. In doing so, EmSella Chair can rebuild these muscles in order to effectively treat incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation.

The Emsella chair is FDA approved for treatment of pelvic floor disorders including incontinence and erectile dysfunction secondary to pelvic floor weakening. Stress incontinence, usually induced by things like jumping, sneezing or laughing, as well as urinary urgency and frequency can be resolved with this device. (If you are waking up from your sleep to use the restroom this device is for you!)

Did You Know?

Weak pelvic floor muscles have also been identified as a contributing factor to chronic lower back pain and imbalance.

Pelvic Floor

The pelvic floor plays a crucial role in overall urinary and sexual health. The pelvic floor muscles support important organs such as the bladder, prostate, and bowel, and they help control urination, ejaculation, and erections. When the pelvic floor muscles become weak, the pelvic floor can no longer properly support these functions. This can lead to problems such as incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and premature ejaculation.

Strengthening the pelvic floor is one of the most effective ways to improve pelvic health. Treatments like the Emsella Chair work by stimulating the pelvic floor muscles using high-intensity electromagnetic energy. This stimulation causes thousands of powerful contractions in the pelvic floor, strengthening the muscles far more efficiently than traditional exercises. By strengthening the pelvic floor, patients can improve bladder control, reduce incontinence, and enhance sexual performance.

Incontinence

Incontinence is a common condition that affects many men and women, especially as they age. Urinary incontinence occurs when the bladder loses proper control due to weakened pelvic floor muscles. When the pelvic floor becomes weak, it cannot support the bladder effectively, which leads to unwanted urine leakage. This type of incontinence may occur when coughing, laughing, exercising, or even during daily activities.

Strengthening the pelvic floor is one of the most effective treatments for incontinence. By targeting the pelvic floor muscles, the Emsella Chair helps restore strength and function to the muscles responsible for bladder control. Improved pelvic floor strength can significantly reduce symptoms of urinary incontinence and help patients regain confidence in their daily lives. Many patients notice that after strengthening the pelvic floor, their incontinence improves and bladder control becomes much stronger.

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) & Premature Ejaculation

Erectile dysfunction, also called impotence, means not being able to get and keep an erection firm enough for sexual activity.

Having erection trouble from time to time isn’t always a cause for concern. But if erectile dysfunction is ongoing, it can cause stress, affect self-confidence and add to challenges with a partner.

Premature ejaculation is a common sexual health concern that affects many men at different stages of life. Premature ejaculation occurs when ejaculation happens sooner than desired during sexual activity, often causing frustration or dissatisfaction. One often overlooked cause of premature ejaculation is weakness or poor control of the pelvic floor muscles.

The pelvic floor muscles play an important role in ejaculation control.

When the pelvic floor is weak or poorly conditioned, men may have difficulty controlling ejaculation, which can lead to premature ejaculation. Strengthening the pelvic floor can help improve control and endurance during sexual activity.

The Emsella Chair helps strengthen the pelvic floor muscles through powerful electromagnetic stimulation that activates deep pelvic floor contractions. By strengthening the pelvic floor, many men experience improved control, increased sexual confidence, and reduced symptoms of premature ejaculation. Improving pelvic floor strength can be a key step toward better sexual performance and long-term sexual health.

You may be a candidate for EmSella Chair treatment if you have weak pelvic floor muscles that are causing urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, or generalized pelvic pain. To determine if EmSella Chair treatment is right for you, schedule a consultation with Amy Peirce, ARNP, FNP-C, at Thrive Wellness Center today.

When receiving EmSella Chair treatment, you can expect to be seated on the EmSella Chair for approximately 30 minutes in a comfortable, private room with a tv. The procedure is noninvasive, and you remain fully clothed throughout. No drugs are required, and the most you will feel is a tingling or "tapping" during the treatment. During this time, the device will use electromagnetic technology to cause the pelvic floor muscles to contract. In most cases, it is recommended to undergo a total of six sessions, usually scheduled twice a week for 3 weeks.

After receiving EmSella Chair treatment, you will be able to return to your normal daily activities. In most cases, you may observe a difference after your first or second session, however it typically takes a few weeks to notice a significant improvement.

This may result from weak pelvic floor muscles since pelvic floor muscles play an essential role in supporting pelvic organs and controlling continence. Physiological changes can contribute to the development of urinary incontinence; changes such as vaginal delivery, menopause, and aging can decondition pelvic floor muscles.

During the procedure, you will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions. At the end of the treatment, you will feel a tapping sensation, which helps remove the lactic acid from your pelvic muscles. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment.
